Tyge Greibrook
University of Oslo, Norway
Tyge Greibrokk has been full professor of Analytical Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry, University of Oslo, Norway, since 1986. After a 4 year period as Head of the whole Department, he is now back in research. During the last two decades the most important activity of analytical chemistry in Oslo has been miniaturization of separation columns, often in combination with mass spectrometry. From pioneering studies in supercritical fluid chromatography, through high temperature liquid chromatography and temperature programming i LC, the main emphasis is currently on multidimensional coupled LC-systems. Together with professor Elsa Lundanes at Chemistry and a research group at the School of Pharmacy, Greibrokk has contributed strongly to the formation of a strategic research platform at the University of Oslo called Bioanalytics@UiO. Greibrokk has a publication list of more than 250 papers and is also a coeditor of the Journal of Separation Science.
