Robert E. Murphy
Covx, a Company within Pfizer’s Biotherapeutics and Bioinnovation Division, USA
Analytical chemist with 25 years of chromatographic, electrophoretic and spectroscopic experience. I have worked in the agriculture, polymer and biotech industries. My research emphasis is on developing separation systems for the analysis of complex samples. I have written several papers and book chapters on the use of multi-dimensional liquid chromatography for the analysis of polymers and proteins. My doctorate work involved determining the optimum sampling rate in two-dimensional liquid chromatography for maximum two-dimensional resolution. I currently use two-dimensional liquid chromatography combined with high resolution mass spectrometry for the analysis of pharmacokinetic samples to identify metabolites of intact protein biotherapeutics. I received my B.S. degree from the University of West Florida, by M.S. from the University of Florida (Go Gators!), and my Ph.D. from Villanova University.
